Community Roundtable Message Board
Welcome to the CEP roundtable. We are a group of concerned citizens and business people that have made a commitment to get off the sidelines and become an active part of the solution. One important vehicle we will use to get you involved is this interactive message board.
CEP is committed to representing the views and interests of sixteen critical energy disciplines and consumer groups who will be represented in the national energy plan. Each one will have a voice at the CEP roundtable. CEP is also interested to give members of the general public opportunity to join the conversation. The discussion from this roundtable will happen at various CEP events and on message boards devoted to each of the sixteen energy disciplines.
How the Message Board Works
Each link in the column to the left represents one of the sixteen energy disciplines. A click on a link will take you to the message board for that discipline. There you will find the most recent messages entered by others who are interested in that discipline. If you scroll down the page, you will see the history (most recent to oldest) of comments about that discipline.
Message Board Monitoring
Eventually we hope to have volunteers to monitor entries for each discipline. The purpose of the monitoring will be to learn how you feel about energy issues and to glean your ideas about policies that should be incorporated into the national energy plan. We can't promise that all ideas will be included in the plan, but we can promise that we will seriously consider what you have to say, and that we will do our best to aggregate your collective opinions and ideas into a meaningful plan.
From time to time, we may want to extract particular thoughts or ideas that are especially timely, succinct, and powerful. When we find such statements and want to use them in some other CEP document in their original language, we will be sure to give the authors of such statements credit for them. And best we can, we will try to let the authors know in advance that their statements will be republished in some other format. If we are not able to make contact with you prior to republishing the comment, however, we will assume that your public posting on the message board indicates that you are willing to have that comment also posted in other public venues.
